Work Experience

Lincode Labs, Inc.
Data Science Intern
October 2023 - Present
Lincode Labs is an AI visual inspection company working with customers in various industries to automate and improve their inspection process.
As a Data Science Intern I engineer computer vision solutions using OpenCV and train, deploy, and monitor CNN models built using PyTorch. From the initial product pitches to installation on the production line I am involved in every step of our projects.
During a pilot project for a global automotive disc brake manufacturer I installed our system, designed a model to detect paint defects, and trained their operators to use our system - all within one week. This model achieved 96% accuracy, leading to client deployment.
Using OpenCV and Python I developed a pipeline to allow Lincode's system to measure the size of objects with an accuracy of 0.25 mm. Additionally, I designed an anomaly detection pipeline with PyTorch, allowing models to train exclusively on positive images, eliminating the need for extensive data collection and annotation for supervised learning.
After initial discussions with a world-leading aerospace manufacturer I was one of two members who spent a week at their factory gaining insights on how we could deploy our solution. I provided technical expertise during daily check-ins with the manufacturer and post-visit meetings with our team.
